IMPROVEMENT

Enhanced Instance Type Pausing During Fast Rebalancing

During fast rebalancing, all requested instance types were paused leading to disruption in spot instance acquisition. New logic pauses only those specific instance types receiving an event (e.g. rebalancing, fast rebalancing, or spot interrupts) leading to enhanced efficiency in spot instance handling - higher availability and improved cost optimization.

BUG

Runtime Crash in Storage Layer - PVCs Without Attached Volumes

An edge case involving PVCs without attached volumes could cause a runtime error.

Storage handling logic has been enhanced leading to improved reliability in storage operations.

BUG

Migration Failures Between m5/m6i and m7i Instance Types

Network interface discrepancies between instance types (e.g., ens5 on m5/m6i vs. enp39s0 on m7i) caused migration failures due to vif script misconfigurations.

We now dynamically set the appropriate network device before initializing the migration process delivering seamless migrations between instances. and enhanced instance selection flexibility.

Known Issues

  • The product currently supports 64-bit applications. 32-bit applications are not supported at this time.

  • For EKS users, AWS does not reflect the change of instances on the AWS Management Console after the EKS nodes are migrated.

  • No labels
